While Lakeview may not boast many fine dining establishments you might find in other Chicago neighborhoods, there are plenty of great options. DS Tequila’s on Halsted is known as one of the more lively brunch destinations.

 

Not far north is El Mariachi’s known for their guacamole made at your table, which pair well with their killer margaritas.

 

Jenivee’s Bakery on Sheffield fuses fun flavors with pastry classics like cupcakes and cakes, with premium coffee to wash down your indulgences.

Boystown is the country’s first area to be designated as a gay district, covering the area east of Halsted until you hit the lake. During the summer the areas hosts Chicago’s Pride Fest and Market Days, two of the city’s most vibrant festivals.
